How can I fix my iPhone 16 Pro Max randomly restarting during use?

For some reason, at least one to two times a week, my iPhone 16 Pro Max randomly shuts off while I'm using it. The screen goes black, and a grey loading icon appears in the middle of the screen before finally turning back on. I've tried turning the phone on and off, as well as reseting it, but the problem continues to occur. Any other suggestions for me (as someone who doesn't have Apple Care)?

iPhone Shutting Off on its Own:

A. View the Battery Health:

Apple recommends you get a new battery, once the Battery Health reaches below 80%.

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: Battery
  3. Tap: Battery Health
  4. View: [the percentage]
  5. Is it 80% or less?  If so, it is time for a new battery.

B. Update an iPhone:

Try updating your iPhone.
