I agree with Kurtosis12. This is most definitely NOT something you'd want to try on your own. Apple won't touch the phone as it is water damaged and iPhone 6 is now Obsolete. It had a good run, wouldn't you agree? But the time has come to buy a new iPhone.
I wouldn't. Chances are other components are water damaged as well.
Time to buy a new phone.
