How do I return a defective iPhone 16 purchased from the Apple Store at Dale road?

went to Apple Store at Dale road to purchase a phone for my dad overseas. Went to the store because I had questions. Asked the representative to give me a few hone that has a physical sim they gave me the iPhone 16 . To took the iPhone more then a month to come back to me from over seas since I was lied at it didn’t work my dad couldn’t use it and the store manager refused to take it back! Very frustrating about being lied at.font know what to do

As MrHoffman correctly states, no iPhone sold in the US has a physical SIM slot, they all come with an eSIM. Either you heard wrong or the specialist at the store told wrong.

Managers usually have more discretionary power and are more willing to give compassionate refunds. I am very glad to hear of your pleasant store experience. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Apple refund policy is usually 14 days.


All US iPhone models are eSIM only, and have been for a few years now. No US iPhone has SIM.

Talked on the phone with with John I explained to him everything. He was nice and very understanding. He told me that they usually don’t talk a phone if it’s past the return period put do to the circumstances of my situation, He will take it back. I went back today and returned it and he was very nice and professional. That’s the kind of customer service we are used to from Apple.He was the manager I so glad Apple has employees like him. He also showed my there web site for refurbished phones where I can find a phone with a physical sim from there older models.

Apple offers a 14 day return policy, but since you state it’s been over a month, returns are no longer an option. But since you are still within the 1 year limited manufacturers warranty which covers defects, I suggest you take it back to the Genius Bar. They will examine it and if it turns out to be a manufacturers defect, you will either get a reduced repair price or a replacement warranty unit.
