Hi! I'm experiencing a strange behavior. When I press the "+" button in Safari, which is supposed to open a new tab, it opens the same website I'm currently on.
I've checked the settings of the button and it says to open a blank page, tried changing to a default site and it still opens the same site I'm visiting.

I am not experiencing the same thing when using the + button. The setting I think you are referring to is at Safari > Settings > General > New Tab Opens With. Mine is set on Start page, which opens the tap in the start page and when I changed it to Empty Page, it just opened to a black screen. Not sure if we are looking at the same setting as I do not see the options of Blank Page or Default Site that you refer to. I see these options:
Do you have any Extensions installed that may be changing the behavior?
I don't have any extension installed, I'm just using a profile I created.

Just solved the issue, it was associated to the settings of my profile, there was the setting. Problem fixed!
Just checked it, it only happens in the profile I created, on the "Personal" it works... is there some way to transfer all the stuff from the profile to the personal?
