Unable to download apps on my iPhone 12 due to storage issue

Please perform a Forced Restart. The purpose of this is to clear any software glitches that can be occurring.

• Press and quickly release the Volume Up Button
• Press and quickly release the Volume Down Button
• Press and hold the Side Button until you see the Apple Logo (Ignore the Power Off slider midway)

1. Open Messages.
2. Swipe a message ⇠ to the left ⇠ that contains photos and/or videos to reveal a trash can. 🗑️
3. Tap the 🗑️ to delete the message thread.
4. Tap to confirm.
5. Repeat for as many messages as needed.
6. Tap Filters (upper-left corner of the screen).
7. Tap Recently Deleted.
8. Tap Delete All.
9. Tap to confirm.
10. Finally, Tap All Messages to return.

For example: When I try to manage my storage, I see that I have 1.46 GB in messages, but when I select any of the options, the screen is black so I am unable to delete anything."
