Key indicators:

  • Battery may need serviced. Does the problem only happen when running on Battery power?
  • Not enough free space on your startup drive
  • Review Clean Up section and remove the file noted at: ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.epicgames.launcher.plist
  • KeySmith is showing as an Unsigned file and running. This may be an old version or need an update. Remove and test operation, then reinstall if needed.
  • Write speed on drive is showing very poor. May be a drive failure. You can download DriveDX for a free diagnostic of the drive. Purchasing is not necessary. This is the likely reason for the problems you see, the cause would be either the drive itself or the issues noted above causing the poor performance.

A drive failure only showing as poor write speed with no effect on reading would be unusual. I think the write and read tests involve lots of varying sized files - could be a second-order effect of having not enough disk space (especially if the over-provisioning is relatively low, and I have no idea what Apple's standard over-provisioning ratio is).

SSD write speed is poor, but it may be due to an almost full SSD, or a file system issue. Definitely worth trying checking the SSD's health with DriveDx (free trial period) as suggested by @Mac Jim ID and posting the complete text report here using the "Additional Text" icon.

Try running Disk Utility First Aid on the hidden Container. Within Disk Utility click "View" and select "Show All Devices" so the hidden Container appears on the left pane of Disk Utility. Even if the First Aid summary says everything is "Ok", click "Show Details" and scroll back through the report to see if any unfixed errors are listed. If so, then run First Aid again until the errors are gone. If after several scans the errors remain, then run First Aid while booted into Recovery Mode. If after several more scans the errors still remain, then only a clean install of macOS which involves erasing the whole physical SSD (Intel Macs only) followed by reinstalling macOS & restoring from a backup.

It is also possible the "Service Battery" condition may be affecting system performance since that usually indicates a hardware issue with the battery. Power related issues can impact system performance.

I also don't know how you are running a VM on a system with just 8GB of RAM. macOS needs 8GB of RAM just for itself these days.

As far as crashes, the only listed crash reports seem to be associated with Roblox.

Disconnect all external devices in case one of them is causing a problem.
