Some of my apps keep turning dark, it is NOT because of parental control. I have no clue why this happens. In not lackadaisical to search why this happened, I think yes one knows about this. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Check the settings for the app(s) you’re having issues with. For example here are my choices in the Associated Press app,

Post a screenshot of what you are seeing.
Check if you have the Automatic switch turned on at Settings > Display & Brightness for the Light/Dark Mode Appearance. That will change the appearance depending on the time of the day.
You may have your apps’s appearance set to Automatic which would switch between light and dark mode during the times of the day. Hold anywhere where there are no apps on your Home Screen until they all start to jiggle, in the top left tap Edit, then tap Customize, and set your app’s appearance to Light.

Please post a screenshot as Mac Jim ID suggested. That will better help us understand and view the issue.
