File sharing can show folders but not the contained files

Hi,

I open a new thread, because I can't add answers to the existing one.

  1. I migrated from Monterey (Mac Pro 2013) to Sequoia (Mac mini M4 Pro).
  2. I tried to access the internal drive of the Mac mini from another (older) Mac.
  3. The other Mac could see the folders, but not the files inside it.
  4. All the settings in the mini (acting as the server) were fine. Read and write permissions where the correct one. Sequoia even insisted to created ghost team users for those folders, that I immediately deleted.
  5. I deactivated and reactivated file sharing in the mini (server).
  6. At a certain point, file sharing started working as expected, and all the files could be accessed.

The solution is therefore to turn file sharing on/off on the server Mac.

I must add that this is the first time I have so many issues with a network on the Mac (and this includes the repeated efforts to migrate through Ethernet – not recognized at first).
