Apple TV Remote is acting erratically despite repairing and resetting and replacing.

I ordered a new Apple TV in February. This is the 7th Apple TV in my household and the first one that has given me problems. The remote seemed to work okay at first but quickly (days) started acting erratically. not recognizing scrolling or tapping. Jumping to the end of a row instead of moving one or two to the side. Not responding to any input. This seemed most apparent in the Youtube app but that just happened to be the predominant use at the time. I tired repairing the remote and then resetting the remote but no improvement.

I reached out to Apple and requested a replacement remote. Once it came in I paired it, it worked well for the first use but the second use the same problems materialized. I tried repairing and resetting again but no improvement. I have verified the remote has a strong blue tooth connection so it is having no problems communicating. Are there any other solutions or is this a problem with the unit and I need to replace the Apple TV?

So have you tried unplugging the Apple TV from power, waiting five minutes, plug it back in, test?

After restarting the Apple TV also restart the Remote.

Since Bluetooth is also in play here is there a possibility of interference near the Apple TV?
