The camera is a canon sl2, And up till a few days ago I was able to see them with just pressing onto the space bar to quickly open them, But I feel like ever since I downloaded Photo shop and Lightroom classic the raws are black till I zoom in or out a bit but the edited ones still work great to quickly open like that. And I am using a Mac book pro and as far as I know it's called Quick Look I believe it's a built in option or at least I haven't downloaded anything other than Light room, Lightroom classic and Photo shop

This sounds like a macOS Preview compatibility issue with your specific RAW format. A few things to try:

  1. First, check if the issue persists in other apps like Photos or Adobe Bridge - this will help determine if it's a system-wide problem or just Preview.
  2. Make sure you're running the latest macOS version, as Apple regularly adds RAW support for new cameras.
  3. Try resetting Preview's cache by running this Terminal command:

rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Preview

If you're still having issues and suspect file corruption, you might want to try a repair tool like 4DDiG File Repair. I've used it successfully for problematic RAW files before - it can handle CR2, NEF, ARW and other RAW formats while preserving metadata.

Alternatively, you could try converting the files to DNG format using Adobe's free DNG Converter, which often fixes compatibility issues.

Let me know if any of these solutions work for you!

As raw images are individual to each model of camera - and that's model, not brand - it's impossible to help without knowing the brand an model of camera producing the raws.

Further, as raw support is added on a model by model basis, what version of the OS do you have, and what app are you viewing these images in?
