How do I limit iPhone screen mirroring to a specific MacBook Pro screen?

So I can use my iPhone to mirror its screen to my MacBook Pro (M1) but if I have an external display, it seems to go blank as though it's using that to do the mirroring.

What I really want is to mirror my iPhone on one screen and then have the other screen for Maccy stuff.

Very interesting. I decided (against my better judgment!) to upgrade to Sequoia to try this, but was shocked to find that what "iPhone mirroring" means is something totally different - i.e it hands control of the iPhone to the Mac. All I want is to be able to see the iPhone screen in a window on my Mac. Wirelessly.

I do have the LetsView app which does what I want. Just thought the official Apple way might be in some way better.
