How can I remove an Activation Lock without the original receipt?

Return them for refund. They are totally, utterly, completely useless to you. Apple won't help you as you are not the original buyer and you don't have the documentation required for them to unlock them. We can't help you unlock them. You simply cannot unlock them. Return them.

Perhaps not, but that really isn't relevant at this point. The proof of purchase you provided was not deemed acceptable by Apple.

That would indicate that at best, you bought gray market devices from an unauthorized seller.

There are 2 ways to remove the lock:

• Use the Apple Account/Password to remove the Activation Lock. This is the one used to set it up and should be one that you know.
• If the Apple Account on the device is unknown to you, then the original purchase receipt from Apple or Authorized Apple seller will be required. It is likely that the store you purchased them from is neither of these,

It really is that simple with those 2 options. Other than that, you are left with devices that will remain useless, which is why it was suggested to recycle them so they do not go into a landfill.

By your own admission you don't have the original purchase receipts. Apple won't help you, PERIOD. The phones are Activation Locked. You CANNOT unlock them. Pleading your case here will get you nowhere.

Recycle them responsibly and go buy phones from an authorized retailer or directly from Apple.

Those devices are useless. There is no way to bypass the activation lock.

None of that really matters. If you don't know the login and password for the Activation Lock and you don't have the original proof of purchase, Apple will not unlock the devices for you. Full stop.
