How do I connect a Yaesu FT 991 to a MacBook Air M4 using a USB Type A cable?

What is the output type of the thunderbolt connector? i want to conect a Yaesu FT 991 with a USB Type A cable what adapter do i need for a m4 mac book air

Thunderbolt 4 is USB-C with extra Apple magic. As far as cable compatibility goes you can use any generic USB-A to -C adapter or cable.


Edit: it appears the back of that transceiver has a USB-B 2.0 port. Same general answer applies. They are very common and inexpensive.
