imac no sound bootcamp for months

So I had to use bootcamp to get running a rtx3060 card externally via the thunderbolt connection.

I'm using win11 and most things work.

For 6 months, I have a love and hate relationship with the iMac. one day sound, one day no sound, tried everything I have read. today I had sound for 6 hours and as soon as i rebooted no sound.

the sound bar moves, in time with youtube etc but no sound from the speakers. having to use headphones each day is a joke, even my airpods 2 have problems, sound but no mic!

Windows 10 it worked, but i needed 11 for some other software.

any ideas?

iMac 27″, macOS 15.3

well apple never offically supported win11 in BootCamp and being that bootcamp is not a thing on any macs they currently sell, likely will never get official support

if it was me then I would try to reinstall the win10 cirrus logic driver from the BootCamp driver usbstick you made or can make in the BootCamp app on macOS, if that do not resolve it then I would try to go to cirrus logics website and look for a win11 driver for that audio chip the mac uses.

if nothing helped then I would probably just get an USB dac that supported win11 and use that, that is what I usually do anything because they usually have better sound than onboard audio chips.
