New iphone 16 (company controlled), photos did not transfer

I just got a new iphone 16. It is a company phone and it is controlled by the company.

Normally I just put the new phone next to my old phone and everything transfers. However, when I tried this photos did not transfer.

I don't want to buy extra storage at icloud....

I tried to back up to my computer via Itunes. backup was ok, but when I tried to restore it said there was not enough space... Strange. My old iphone uses 102,3 gb out of 120. And the new phone has 120 gb

Is there any way I can move pictures directly from one phone to another? Or what should I do? How much space do I need to free up in order to be able to back up via itunes to my computer and restore? Photos are kind of important....
