Cheap flimsy apple cable, plastic is poor quality. So this happened, see photograph.
Some background info, this cable doesn’t travel with me. This isn’t the first time a charger breaks.
My chargers constantly fall apart or their wire will split and fray. I had enough and I am upset.
do you mean cables or AC chargers?
your depict a broken cable, the cable only have 5volts (or 9 for fast charging) which is not really enough to melt stuff or start a fire, heck as a kid we all tried to touch a 9volt batt with ones tongue for fun and giggles was harmless.
about breaking cables then I only ever had 1 cable go bad on me from old pin30 to lightning as your image to the new usb-c and the one that go bad was because xwife always disconnected the cable by pulling the cable rather than the connector.
about the AC charger being a fire hazard then I never had any 110/230 AC to USB charger go bad on me or act the firestarter
