M2 MacBook Air display / HDMI issue

I have a 15-inch MacBook Air Apple M2 Chip with 8‑Core CPU and 10‑Core GPU however the screen is cracked so there is no display.

I initially tried connecting the MacBook to my LG monitor however, after spending a good deal of time trying a number of cable / settings permutations, I had no joy.

I left it for a while and then tried a selection of HDMI cables connected to my LG TV and eventually managed to have the MacBook display on my TV however by this point I'd forgotten my password. 🙄 I therefore selected the 'Restart and show password reset options' and the MacBook appeared to reboot only to then show me a dark blank screen on the TV which means I now appear to be completely snookered.

On rebooting the MacBook the TV does appear to acknowledge that the HDMI is being used however the TV screen remains a dark blank.

Can anyone advise as to a possible explanation or solution please? Cheers.
