With the Apple Watch gestures, I can activate Apple Pay using hand movements.
But I still have to double-click the side button to actually pay.
What’s the point of using gestures if I still need to press a button?

I double click, but it might be advance work for a future feature. You might want to ask your question in the Apple Watch community. Someone there might have an immediate application they can suggest.
Before anyone say this. Yes, I know the side button is for 2FA and security.
But if I still have to press the button to pay, what’s the point of using a gesture to activate Apple Pay?
It feels totally redundant. I could just double-click the button and be done.
