I have had the exact same thing with my iphone 11.
the usb-cable charging was working fine before updating to 18.4.1..
Now I can only charge with a wireless charger.
Expecting a quick fix from apple!!
That seems to be the exact OPPOSITE problem of the post you replied to. The other poster shows a failure of MagSafe charging, while you are having a problem with wired charging.
For your case, I would check the charging port on your phone and clean if necessary and also test with another cable/charger. For an iPhone 11, you should also check the Battery Health at Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging. If is is below 80%, then it is time for a new battery. If this battery has never been replaced, it would be extremely rare that the battery would show above 80%.
In most cases the wireless charging will be a slower charge than the wattage used on a wired connection and a failing battery will have trouble with a fast charge. The power used to update to iOS 18.4.1 may have been the final straw for an already weak battery and the same would have happened with any other power intensive process or in the near future.
I have seen not an issue here with wired charging and the 18.4.1 iOS update, so waiting for a fix from Apple may not be the best route to take. There are 2 additional steps you can take if it is not a problem with your battery or charger, cable, port:
- Force Restart. I would recommend to do this after any iOS update to clear out any stale caches. I have not seen it resolve a charging issue, but it is still something I would do.
Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
- Reset Device. This would be best done with a computer where iOS can be restored in case of a problem with the update. Of course, you would need to make sure you have a valid backup as all data would be erased on the device and you will need to restore your data from the backup.
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings using a computer - Apple Support
Without any resolution, take the device to the Apple Store where they will run a free diagnostic to determine the exact problem. You can certainly do this first to avoid any of the previous troubleshooting steps yourself.
