Workout and Activity app are missing on my Apple Watch Series 10

I do not have the Activity or Workout apps on my Apple Watch 10. And this seems to be affecting how I track activity via the 'rings'... Anyone had similar issues?

If the Workout and Activity apps are missing from your Apple Watch Series 10, ensure both your iPhone and Apple Watch are updated to the latest software versions. Also, check if these apps have been inadvertently removed or restricted via Screen Time settings on your iPhone.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential solutions:

1. Software Update:

  • iPhone:
  • Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.
  • Apple Watch:
  • On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app > My Watch > General > Software Update and install any available updates, says Apple Support.

2. Check for App Restrictions:

  • iPhone: Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps and ensure that Workout and Activity apps are enabled.
  • If a specific restriction is preventing the apps from appearing, you can toggle it off, as explained in Apple Support Communities

3. Reset Fitness Calibration Data (If needed):

  • If the apps are present but not accurately tracking, you can reset the fitness calibration data on your iPhone: says Apple Support
    • Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone > My Watch > Privacy > Reset Fitness Calibration Data.
    • This will require you to walk for at least 20 minutes to recalibrate.

4. Check for App Deletion:

  • If the apps are not in the app drawer on your Apple Watch, it's possible they have been deleted.
  • Open the App Store on your Apple Watch and search for "Workout" and "Activity". If they appear with a "Get" button, reinstall them.

5. Restart Devices:

6. Restore from Backup (Last Resort):

  • If the issue persists, you can try restoring your Apple Watch from a backup on your iPhone, says Apple Support

7. Contact Apple Support:

  • If none of the above solutions work, contact Apple Support for further assistance

Did you make sure, that on your iPhone in Settings/Privacy & Security/ Motion & Fitness/ -> Fitness Tracking is enabled, as well as in Location Services/System Services/ -> Motion Calibration & Distance?

Erasing the watch and paring it again as a new device, without using the latest watch backup, would be the next step, if this does not work:

I tried all this... I'm visiting the Apple after care shop tomorrow. I have also tried to pair the device with someone else's iPhone and the same issue persists... Seems like something is wrong with the software on this Apple Watch or it some kind of malware.

Thank you and @Ingo2711 for the guidance.

I'll be back with an update on what the issue may be.
