Why does my MacBook Air show that I have two drives?

I have the A1466 mac boo air with Mojave and for some strange reason, it shows two hard drives.

I anm also getting a message saying my space is full, but clearly you can see that I have a sufficient space.

Your Mojave OS is likely showing you the two volumes that would make up a startup drive formatted with APFS, the new normal for Macs.

One volume houses the System files and by default is named "Macintosh HD".

The other volume houses your home folder and user files. It is named "Macintosh HD - Data"

They function as a single logical drive linked together by the OS and called "Macintosh HD"... unless you've changed the name.

Finder only ever displays the name "Macintosh HD" on your desktop and as you navigate your computer and drive. It's kind of counter-intuitive, but that's how it is.
