How can I print encrypted PDFs from my iPhone?

Hi all,

Long story short, I got a staff member who is trying to print a PDF from his iPhone to the building printer. If he tries to print it or saves it and tries to print it, he gets this error and it says "Password is either missing or incorrect".

However if he sends me the file, I can open and print it from a web browser or save it and print it from my machine to the same printer. Both using either MacBook or Windows.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Your post’s title suggests the password is associated with the PDF file. However, nothing in your post’s body confirms that.

Ignoring your post’s title, one scenario that accounts for the behavior described in your post’s body would be the staff member not properly using the Wi-Fi network associated with the printer and/or storage device, while you are.

The issue is encrypted pdf files. He uses AirPrint. I looked deeper into the details of the file. It is password protected, however the protection is from modifying it. Opening and printing are allowed. I'm just trying to figure out if maybe it's an issue with AirPrint and encrypted PDF files. I have checked so many resources online, still stumped.
