AirPods4 ANC battery drains unevenly. Left side drains faster than the right side

My new AirPods 4 ANC battery drains unevenly for both side. The left side start to drain faster than the right side once it passes the 50% level. Both side was replaced by Apple service centre but the problem persists.

Uneven battery drainage of AirPods 4 ANC I bought AirPods 4 ANC in early January and noticed an issue with uneven battery drainage. For example, the left earbud sometimes drains faster than the right one by more than 10%, or both earbuds may drain 10% in just 15 minutes. The store replaced the earbuds for me, but after bringing the new pair home, I’m seeing the exact same issue. At first, they discharged evenly. Then the right earbud drained 5% faster than the left one (left: 91%, right: 86%). I left the earbuds playing music while doing other tasks, and after about an hour and a half, the left earbud had drained 14% faster than the right one (left: 48%, right: 62%). I’m using iOS version 18.2.1, and the earbuds are on firmware version 7B20. Could anyone confirm if they’ve experienced a similar problem? Is this normal, or is it a defect? This is already my second pair with the same issue.

Airpods Gen 2 Battery issue I have Airpods Gen 2. It is about 3 years old. Battery is getting discharged completely within 2 minutes when I use MS Teams and on phone call. For other apps, like Podcast, or other music apps, it runs much much longer - left earpiece for about 45 minutes and right ear piece for about 90 minutes. I use iPhone 13. When using Teams or when I am on phone call, it drains in less than 2 minutes. When I put it back in the case, it charges instantly (under 30 seconds) to >80%. And I could again on Podcast for over 1 hour. I tried on my macbook. Pretty much same. It drains in when using Teams very rapidly. But watching/listening other sites, for over 1 hour. I tried resetting the airpods by pressing the button for about 30 seconds. But no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

AirPods 2 charging case battery issue (draining) Hi there, Purchased AirPods 2 last year. The earbuds were only used in the office for 1-2 hours a day and required charging every other week. In the last couple of months, I have encountered some draining issues with the charging case. Despite reaching out to Apple and having the case inspected in one of their official repair centers, they claimed that everything was fine. I have reset the AirPods three times, checked the firmware, but I still experience a loss of 12-15% charge when they are not in use (after the earbuds are charged to 100%). Is anyone else experiencing the same?

If the issues persist it might be a software issue. Is your iPhone updated to the latest software version? Is the firmware of the AirPods up to date? Have you tried to reset the AirPods to see if the issues persist?
