some days on the apple watchface, when showing the date, sometimes the month appears, other days not. why?

Which ones exactly?
Depending on the fonts used and the settings for your region/country, there might be not enough space left to show all data.
The Photos Watch face has such limitations, for example.

Which Apple Watch do you have? Which watch face is giving this problem? Have you tried a different watch face? We need more information if we are to try to help.
To understand why, you would have to contact the developer of that watch face. I don't even know if that is possible. We cannot answer that question for you.
actually on some days for example earlier this month, ALL my watch faces would show day , MONTH and date. now for example the EXACT same face will show only DAY and DATE, no month. even if i try to set up a new face, no month. it happens sporadically, doesn't make much sense
this only happens on a PHOTO. i have the same watch face the last several days, on 5/15, it showed the photo, and showed "thu 15". the last 2 days showed ( for today)Sat, May 17 on the same photo. seems odd some days has a month other days not with the same photo
the problem is on a photo (any) for example yesterday the date showing was Fri, May 24. on the SAME photo on watch face today it shows Sat 24. no month. while not a HUGE deal, i just want to know why?

it is not necessarily a developer of an app. is is a photo taken with my iphone that i am using as a watch face. somedays the month is there , other days not
