According to their financials, The Moth has revenue of about $8 million per year for "program services." I assume a big chunk of that comes from Apple, but do not know the details.

Royalties are paid to the entity (artist, label, distributor, or other rights holder) who has the contractual arrangement with Apple. How it gets distributed by that recipient is not known to us or to Apple. .
