Does synching the music library via iCloud take up storage space in the cloud?

Thanks.

No.

iCloud Music library matches to existing tracks in the Apple Music catalog so does not use space.

For uploaded content that could not be matched, you can have up to 100,000 tracks, which do not use personal iCloud Storage either, but are maxed at 256kbps and cannot be any larger than 200MB each.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure since 80% of the files in my library are NOT on Apple Music (mostly OTR shows from the 1940-50's) and thus not "matched". So I wasn't sure if those "unmatched" tracks got "copied" to iCloud and the info available on the website wasn't clear on that issue.

Thanks again for the prompt response.
