Why is my Apple Gift Card showing as invalid after purchase?
I purchased an Apple gift card for $150 for a friend but when they tried to redeem it said the card was invalid. How do I fix this?

You must enter the code to redeem the Gift Card where you will see the value of the card. The entire balance of the card is redeemed and you cannot use part of the card to leave any balance that would need to be checked. You would check the balance in the Apple Account where it was redeemed.
There are other less common Gift Cards where you do not need to redeem the entire balance and can check the balance using the website on the back of the card. You can read more about the different types here:
