Why can't I redeem Apple Gift Card codes in the App Store?

Hi all,

This has now happened twice, so I need a bit of help if I'm doing something wrong.

For some reason I cannot redeem code for apps that I have received.

I get error that the code is available for certain countries, and Serbia is not on the list, and as my app store is set to Serbia, I cannot redeem them.

I cannot find it anywhere that you cannot redeem codes if store is set to Serbia.

So if anyone can help me resolve this issue or tell me what am I doing wrong.

My steps are.

App store > Profile > Redeem Code/Gift Card > Added Code > ID login

And at the last step I get country restrictions.

My card for payments is valid, and I have everything working on my Macbook in regarding the payments (and on my iphone as well).

Note: This is happening on both iPhone 11 Pro and M4 Pro.
