How do I access a rented movie in my iTunes library on the device I purchased it on?

The rental displays in iTunes (I can see the play button), but does not appear in my library ON the device I purchased on AND I have not started playing the movie on any device.

Where are my downloaded itunes movies on my ipad? Title says it all. I downloaded a few movies to mi ipad mini from itunes for inflight viewing but cannot locate them. I checked “files” but don’t see them there.
