How do I recover my ripped Apple Gift Card codes?

I purchased an apple gift card from target and when I opened it, the number is ripped off. It was the old gift card without the scratch silver surface on it. so all the rubber cement glue just ripped the numbers tag off. I was wondering if I could recover the number somehow because it’s a $200 gift card please help me.
