Logic Pro: problem with Varispeed

Whenever I engage Varispeed, one of the tracks (usually the last one that I recorded) gets muted. That means that Varispeed doesn't really help, given that it's not possible to listen simultaneously to all the tracks.

It *sometimes* helps to turn off the input monitoring of the track that gets muted.
