Formula to reference cell under cursor

I'd like to have a cell that updates (recalculates) dynamically as I move the cursor around the sheet. Basically as I arrow down through rows, this magic cell would display the sum across a set of columns on the current row.

Ive used ROW() but its static - it just returns the row number in which the formula is placed. Now Im messing around with OFFSET() but again, its a snapshot taken from the cell where the formula lives.

Any ideas appreciated

There is no formula that will change and show its result as you cursor/arrow around.

If the sum you want is the sum of all the cells in the row (not a subset of the columns), you can click on a row number to select the row and see the sum (and average and other results) at the bottom of the window. You can use the up/down arrow keys to move to other rows to see their sums.
