Unexpected Blocked Connection to Pages.dev – ISP Suggested I Contact Apple

ISP (Fidium Fiber, using their Guard protection system) flagged and blocked a connection from my iPhone to a pages.dev domain (website-widgets.pages.dev) while I was asleep. I have never visited this site, and the category it was blocked under was deeply concerning.

I reached out to Fidium support, and they told me I’d need to contact Apple to investigate what might have triggered the connection from my phone.

Could an ad, script, or app have caused this in the background? Why on earth is the blocked reason something I have never accessed?

Is there any way I can access logs or pinpoint what initiated it?

Any help or insight would be appreciated — I just want to make sure my device is secure.

Not certain how those clues might be processed; depending

on their source (True or False; or other?) may be for Phishing.

opers that is abused by some to host phishing websites..."

May be an issue with cloudflare; while I've not used any of these

so answers could be better or worse, if found on duck-duckgo.

..Your device is very secure, as Apple iOS has 'built-in' protection..

If there is something odd going on, you may need to use adblock

software. While clearing cookies and the like, works with Safari.

Why are you posting this in a Pages word processing community? The bogus pages dot dev domain name has nothing to do with Apple or Apple's Pages application.

You are using a third-party security package whose misbehavior is the responsibility of the Fiber ISP if they offered it. This has nothing to do with your iPhone or Apple and is typical of needlessly using third-party security tools with Apple operating systems. Any real security ought to be in the Fiber ISP premise device or your router.
