My ringtone purchased from iTunes Store sounds different

Has anyone else ever purchased a ringtone and after while, it’s just different? Got a ringtone in 2017. Peaky blinders theme song. A classic, the actual intro to the song. Had it as my ringtone every time a new season came out or any time I was missing the show so I know exactly what it sounded like. Hadn’t had it set in awhile and a week ago I got a new phone so I was playing with the sound settings and clicked on that ringtone and it sounds like crazy. It’s like an electronic-y version, computerized, not at all what I purchased. I am beyond confused. I know for a fact, this is not the ringtone I got. I even asked my wife if this sounded like my ringtone since she’s heard it a lot over the years as well and she agrees it’s not it. I am so lost. And also upset because I paid money for something that was changed years later?? How is that allowed??

For those who will definitely ask, I did not purchase a song and try to make it a ringtone. It was a purchased ringtone, I checked the receipt.

I know I definitely didn’t get the wrong thing because I wouldn’t have spent money on something I didn’t like and I know it was my ringtone so where did it go?
