How can I acquire & load legacy fonts on my Mac?

Would like to use legacy fonts as were found on System-9 iMac and also Mac 10.6. Am currently running Pages on MacBook Pro with highest supported rev of Catalina. Am looking specifically for Sand, Textile, Old English, Hoefler Ornaments, Cambria, Zapf Dingbats, Bodoni Ornaments… for purposes of preserving continuity between works created on older systems and newer ones.

Have tried downloading & loading font suitcases with no success. Newer system does not seem to recognise the new files as fonts. Something I’m doing wrong-?
