Unable to receive messages from group chats on iPhone

I had this same issue and have been researching everywhere to solve. Even called Verizon like others mentioned to have them resynchronize my MMS. Ultimately i found a forum on here that solved this. After updating iphone 16 to iOS 26 and even 26.1 this issues popped up. Cutting wifi off /on allows group messages to work.

Solution: Go to the wifi network settings, select the network you're connected to, and change your "Private Wi-Fi Address" setting to "Rotating" or you can try "Fixed".

Hope this helps someone. I created this community account just to log on here and post this. Hopefully this gets fixed by apple in a future update!

In the same exact boat! Stopped being able to receive or send messages to a specific group text starting on 8/28. Able to send to individuals no problem, able to send to other groups no problem. The group has one android user but I’m able to text in other mixed user groups without issue. I’ve restarted my phone, restarted network settings, confirmed MMS, RCS, and Send as Text are all enabled, I’ve updated my phone to iOS 18.6.2, I’ve deleted the chat and tried to add it back and now I don’t have access to any of the historical messages. This is the worst. Please help!

I updated to iOS 26 and have not received any group text messages since just before I updated. It is mixed users and it was strange because I received a couple responses after sending some texts but only after my WiFi shut off because the power went off. It might be an iMessage error but I’m not sure. It’s very frustrating.

This is happening with my mother in laws phone. She even got a new (older phone) and it didn’t fix it. Unfortunately it is the family chat that doesn’t work. Mixed iPhone/Android. Has anybody gotten a response from Apple?

I tried turning on/off RCS and I tried sending a text sequence to a group chat of 10 messages and all recipients received them. It may have solved the problem.

Same issue but weird part is I'm getting other's reactions in the chat to the message I never got.

I’m having the same issue. Even reset my phone after all the standard advice didn’t work. Spoke to another Apple user who hasn’t updated the software and their group message is fine. Please fix!

My RCS default was on and now I have it off. What setting did you leave it at so that it seems to be working now? On or off?
