I have to adjust the sound balance on my iPhone every time I use earbuds as I am hard of hearing in my left ear. The only way I have found to to that is through multiple steps: Settings>Accessibility>Audio Visual, and the scroll down to Balance. Is there any way to create a widget that takes me directly to the balance control? Thanks.

Although there is no direct widget or Control Center shortcut to the iPhone’s stereo audio balance slider, you can create a Headphone Accommodations control in the Control Center for expedited access to a hearing-focused audio adjustment. To accomplish this, navigate to Settings > Control Center, and subsequently add the “Hearing” control to your enabled controls. Tapping this icon will present a menu that allows you to access “Custom Audio Setup” to personalize settings, including the left-right balance, tone, and amplification for your headphones.
Thanks for this. I have followed your suggestion but I keep ending up with icons of headphones in the Control Centre and none of them take me to the balance control. What may be complicating things is I wearing smart hearing aids which are controlled via an app but of course I take these out and turn them off before using earbuds. I'll keep trying but all other suggestions welcome else I'll stick to the long way round to adjust balance.

I'm not sure I understood the 'prefs:root=...' stuff so I used your link to the Shortcut User Guide and managed to create one I called Balance which by trial and error I got it to ask for a value when you press it. I then added it to the control centre and it seems to do the job. A result!
