How can we make sure subscribers are not charged for free trials

You do it by making sure you cancel the trial before it is too late.


If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

• If you don’t cancel trials more than 24 hours before your renewal date, your subscription might renew.

• Free trials will usually automatically turn into paid subscriptions unless you cancel in time.

That answer is simple. If you don't think you will cancel the free trial 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid a subscription charge, then don't sign up for the free trial in the first place. You can set a reminder to cancel the free trial if you don't think you will remember, it is a simple as saying "Siri remind me to cancel the free trial on xxxx at xx:xx"
