How rigid is the Apple Pencil Pro tip supposed to be?

I have a Pencil pro. This is my first stylus of any kind, I just want assurance because I notice that my pencil tip bends ever so slightly when pressure is applied, and I swore it was rigid as the body when I first got it. Pressure sensitivity works and everything, I am simply asking for reassurance that I am misremembering the rigidness of the tip. tyy <3'

The tip of your Apple Pencil Pro isn’t designed to be as rigid as the aluminum body—it has a bit of “give” to it when you press down. That tiny flex you’re noticing is normal, and it’s actually part of how Apple engineered the tip to feel more natural when writing or drawing. If it were completely rigid, it would feel more like dragging plastic on glass instead of mimicking the slight softness of a pen or pencil tip.

As long as the tip isn’t wobbling loosely, cracking, or unscrewing on its own, you don’t need to worry. The slight bend under pressure doesn’t mean it’s damaged—it’s just the normal behavior of the tip’s material. Over time, the tip will gradually wear down from use, especially if you draw or write a lot, but that’s expected and why Apple makes the tips replaceable. In short: you’re not misremembering—what you’re seeing now is exactly how it should behave.
