To rename a region in Live Loops within Logic Pro, here’s how you can do it:

  • Step 1: Select the region (cell) you want to rename in the Live Loops grid.
  • Step 2: Press Shift + N — this is the shortcut to rename a region.
  • Step 3: Type your new name and hit Return to confirm.

Alternatively:

  • You can also click on the region and go to the Inspector (click the “i” icon in the top left).
  • In the Inspector panel, you’ll see the region name field — just click and edit it directly.

Pro Tip: If you rename multiple regions at once and the name ends in a number (e.g., “Take 1”), Logic will automatically increment the number for each region (“Take 2,” “Take 3,” etc.). To avoid this, use names without trailing numbers or use Roman numerals like “Take I,” “Take II”.
