Is it possible/safe to hire an Apple Mac device before committing to purchase?

Can anyone confirm whether it's possible to have an Apple Mac device for a trial period or even on hire? Before I commit to the purchase of a new device I would like to use an Apple Mac laptop and use it domestically for my own personal use in my environment under normal conditions as I do with every other piece of technology that I own. I have seen that I can hire Apple Mac devices online but is this really safe as I would be submitting/viewing personal information as my day to day normal use of the device. I simply want to decide if I think it's worth my investment to switch to Apple Mac through personal hands on experience.

I would use the device for online banking, email, social media, online purchases etc.

Location England UK.

You have 14 days after purchase to determine if the device suits your needs and if it does not, you can return it for a full refund.

Apple does not provide a rental program and I would be skeptical of an online service that offers a device when it comes to account security. You would really need to trust that provider. That is just my opinion, so you may hear from others with a different perspective.
