White screen after Venmo app update on iPhone 16 Pro

I updated my Venmo app Wednesday and have been unable to open it since then. I click on the app and it opens a white screen. I have done all of the troubleshooting steps and nothing is working.

I went to Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Larger Text and unchecked Larger Accessibility Sizes and moved the text size to the middle (it reduced my default font a tad). That did the trick for me.

This is a common issue after some Venmo updates. The app gets stuck on a white screen if something goes wrong with the update or cache.


What you can try:


  • Delete the Venmo app completely and reinstall it from the App Store.


  • Restart your iPhone after reinstalling.


  • Make sure you’re on the latest iOS 18 version and that Venmo is updated to the newest release.


  • If it still doesn’t work, it’s likely a bug in the latest Venmo update, so the only fix is to wait for Venmo to push another update.


So the problem isn’t with your iPhone — it’s the app itself.
