MacOS Tahoe: Visual Bug with Dark Mode and Light Icon

Hello!

Like many others, I imagine,

I was really excited to upgrade my MacBook Pro to 26.0 (Tohoe)!

Except for the unpleasant surprise with dark mode management :/

Some widgets are managed well, but others haven't been updated:

It’s not a bug, it’s a feature. The setting you're looking for is in System Settings > Appearance > Icon & widget style. If set to Default, you'll get white backgrounds on calendar widgets, black backgrounds on stocks widgets, orange backgrounds on tips widgets, etc. Set it to Dark if you want them all dark. Note that this affects the Dock icons, as well.

The bug shouldn't occur if we set a black theme and light icons. Before Sonoma, the bug didn't exist (there certainly weren't any dark icons either).

But since they added dark mode to the icons, you can no longer use dark mode everywhere with light icons without getting the bug on certain widgets (because yes, it doesn't affect all widgets, only some).

So yes, it is a bug, even if it's easy to fix. The developers just made a mistake, but they can easily correct it.

In any case, I reported the bug:

Feedback - macOS - Apple

Here, as you recommended.

If several of us report it, they should correct it.

I don't like the icos in dark mode. This dark mode was the default in older macos. Also the widgets once accidentally turned black even in default mode while i was playing with the different options but yesterday night i accidentally switched to light mode while i was playing with the control centre and then after that when i turned dark mode on again ir was again back to no dark widgets. So it's definitely a bug that the widgets are not turning dark in dark mode

Another bug I found on the widgets is that the day/night mode is reversed, as you can see in these two images:

and on widget:

The color of the clock does not correspond to reality. It is morning, but it displays as if it were nighttime.

I am posting here to also report this bug in the bug report, because we cannot attach images (which is incomprehensible for a bug report).
