I have currently two software updates available to update on my phone one being 18.7 n second being ios26 i know that ios26 is totally diff thing than usual serial updates so i was wondering incase i do update ios26, will the option to update it to ios 18.7 still be there? Or will it go away?

If you update to iOS 26, you will not be able to downgrade to iOS 18.7.
That option will disappear after installing 26.

Once you update to iOS 26 there’s no going back and you will not be able to downgrade back to iOS 18. iOS 18 will continue to be updated for the immediate future, mainly with security updates and bug fixes but no new features.

I have an iphone 13 pro max 256GB. Should i update it to ios26 or is it too much to handle for this model ?
Apple carefully tested it for compatibility before release; it's your choice which version you want to get.
