How can I make app icons truly clear on the Home Screen with Liquid Glass in iOS 26?

I just updated my phone to IOS 26 and have noticed when selecting the clear icon option, none of them are actually clear. They appear to be tinted almost, just matching the background. I have reduce transparency off and have tried various background to no avail.

Edit: I have discovered if I press and hold the app down, like I was moving it, it appears clear. When I let go it goes back to this tinted appearance.

i've been having this issue as well. i updated both my phone & my ipad pro and was very confused why my ipad looked so much cleaner & clear in comparison to my phone.

the fix: make sure "reduce transparency" , "increase contrast" , and "reduce motion" are all OFF. this gives the icons a more glassy effect vs just being less opaque

As advised earlier, app Icons thatbhave been redesigned look slightly translucent and glassy round the edges, they are NOT transparent in this version pr iOS26

Go to settings, in accessibility, search DISPLAY & TEXT, scroll down to REDUCE TRANSPARENCY turn it off, INCREASE CONTRAST should be turned off too. Also, turn it off “reduce motion”.

App icons are “glassy” round the edges, not clear.

Is there anything that should be turned on? I have turned everything in the Display & Text size off and still don’t have the Liquid Glass look
