Resolved by reconnected and added air printer to the network & issue was fixed.

Original Title: After upgrading iphone 26 Pro to ios 26, wireless air printer was lost on same network.

Found this solution on another board, it worked for me:
Download new service pack/firmware to printer by following the instructions on page 3 of this PDF:

and downloading the new firmware from this link:
https://download.support.xerox.com/pub/drivers/VLC405/SPs/win10/ar/VLC405_PL8-R10.pdf
We saw the same problem with an HP Office Pro 8710, printing from an iPad Pro running iPadOS 26.1.
“No Printer Selected.” -> select the printer -> spinning ball -> “No Printer Selected.”
Restarted WiFi on the printer. Problem resolved / printer found, printed normally.
Did not restart the iPad or change the iPad configuration.

This seems to be catching on. So,...
Report this to Apple:
Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.
Factory Reset of the printer had solved my problem.👍

I’m getting exactly this also … Xerox VersaLink C400DN here … same symptoms, appears briefly and then “No printer selected” - I’ve tried from iPhone and iPad, both running 26. For comparison wireless printing from MacOS Tahoe has no problems.
Also Problem with XEROX C500.
Printer is shown but can‘t select.
With Xerox App, print is possible.
So for me it‘s a software bug within IOS 26
After updating to iOS 26 on an iPhone 15 Pro Max, I also lost the connection to my AirPrint printer (Xerox). When I try to print and select the printer, it appears for 2 seconds and then disappears again. Unfortunately, the tip to reconnect to the Wi-Fi did not help me.
I'm having the same issue with Xerox VersaLink C405. Not sure what the poster means by "Resolved by reconnected and added air printer to the network & issue was fixed." Can you elaborate on the specific steps you took to resolve it? I see the printer in the Known printers but when I select it and click the little "i" next to it, it says it's offline and it won't select the printer. No issue printing from iPhones that haven't been updated to iOS26 or my desktop or laptop that are still on Sequoia. I've tried disabling and re-enabling AirPrint in the printer settings, too, with no luck.
Need help. I’ve taken all the steps suggested with no luck. Now I’m trying to see if there are any firmware updates to my printer. Problem is my printer doesn’t have a keypad or any type of input. How can I tell if I need an update?
The HP DeskJet Plus 4100 All-In-One Printer Series is listed as supported in About AirPrint - Apple Support. Have you already tried a full power-cycle sequence (see my reply on page 1 of this thread), or any other suggested solution?
Happening here also, latest iOS / iPadOS 26.1 - printer appears briefly, then disappears - MacOS Tahoe 26.1 has zero issues printing wirelessly so this is *not* my printer. Model is ethernet connected Xerox VersaLink C400
