0.5x camera option missing after upgrade to iOS26

I updated my iPhone 16 model and right after that first it took time to even detect camera as it was showing black screen. So i have to restart the phone and I saw some error which says camera or some part not loaded. Seems issue with some library may be.

But after the camera started working fine, I noticed I no longer have the 0.5x zoom option. anyone facing the same problem?

Hi Jeff, I have described it in the post itself and yes its the native apple camera and not any third party app.

I have lost the 0.5x camera option in the Camera mode, additional context which I have observed additionally,

after the iOS26 upgrade I lost the flip ability in potrait mode. It works only in selfie/front camera mode only. Same issue for Cinematic mode.

The recent upgrade which was release 26.0.1 didn't help either. When the upgrade was done for a second when I started the camera, I could see 0.5x but again the issue still exist.

In the Parts & Service I see Camera is listed as Unknown now.

Try and force restart the iPhone to see if the issues persist

Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

If this is not working you might want to give this to apple as feedback. PLEase use this form for that
