Any solution here? I waited until yesterday to upgrade an now I regret it because I can’t stand the magnifying glass look on the Home Screen. So, I reduced transparency. But now my notifications are black with white text which also hurts my eyes…

No. Notifications are now white text on a dark background. Personally, I have no difficulty reading them. They just look different, but you can't change it, so you'll have to adjust to it.

I do not like the new upgrade feature that changes font and background color and does not allow you to revert to what we have been used to for years.

When you change your operating system at least give us the option to adjust these changes in settings.

No one participating in this user-to-user forum owns the operating system or made any changes to it. It's Apple's OS and they can make whatever changes they want.

I’m older and truly sad and reprehensible that by upgrading to iOS 26 notification are whit print only, and can’t be reverted back to black print. For those of us with poorer vision it is a true inconvenience and strains our vision. Another case where a poorly programmed AI makes an erroneous decision truly sad !

I'm in my 70s. What does age have to do with anything? And you can change how notifications are displayed. This link explains how --> Liquid Glass - Love It Or Hate It - It's … - Apple Community

Same for me as well and I agree that it is very difficult to read the notifications now. I am very disappointed with these visual changes in this iOS 26 update. They should AT LEAST offer more options to turn the Liquid Glass effects off.

Liquid Glass is not just a skin. It's the way the operating system is written. It would not be nearly as easy as you think to offer such an option.

Upgraded to the ios 26 and do not like the liquid glass. I especially do not like the dark banner notification on the lock screen. It would be much better to have the option to choose the colors on the text and background on the banners. I prefer to have it the way it was before. Newer is not always better.

Apple doesn't read here in this user-to-user forum for feedback or suggestions. You can, however, let them know your thoughts here:
