iPhone 17 Preorder (from Apple) Issues with Boost

Is anyone else trying to set up their preorder for the new iPhone with payments through Apple? They require you to be with one of the major carriers and Boost is one of them. After you choose the payments option, it'll ask for your phone number and zip code and connect to Boost to verify that you have an account. I keep getting:

"Account not supported. We've run into an issue completing your iPhone activation. Please call Boost Mobile at so they can resolve it."

Problem is when I've contacted Boost they said they cannot provide IT support for Apple's website and to call Apple. I tried to explain it might be a problem with my account, but they would not listen. Anyone else having issues or might know what the issue is?

We have tried it with my Boost phone number and with my husband's, and we both get the same error.

I’m not with Boost but it sounds like an issue with their systems not communicating correctly with Apple’s (which is something they would need to have their IT address not Apple) or there may be an issue with the provisioning for your account (again would sound like something that they would need to address). Those are just guesses though. You could contact Boost again and ask for a supervisor that can hopefully delve deeper. It’s possible you are speaking to 3rd party contracted call centers that are limited in what they can actually do or see

I just came here to say I'm having the exact same issue and exact same support experience in October 2025. I'm trying to finance an iPhone 17 for a family member who is on a Boost contract, and when we go through the checkout process with Apple Card Monthly Installments, we must go through the carrier validation process (Phone Number + ZIP --> SMS --> Verification Code --> Validation). This validation fails, with slightly different response depending on whether I checkout on apple.com or the Apple Store app.

apple.com: Account not supported. We've run into an issue completing your iPhone activation. Please call Boost Mobile at so they can resolve it.

Apple Store: The mobile number you entered is not active. Please try again or contact Boost Mobile.

We've contacted Boost, who suggested nothing was wrong with the account, and said to contact Apple for assistance. We then contacted Apple, who suggested that the error response comes from Boost, and that we must work with them to resolve it.

We will certainly be contacting Boost again tomorrow, but unfortunately we don't yet have a solution for this either. Just wanted to share that this is still an end-user experience a month after the original posting here.
