Stop auto update of Cell reference when copying

I have a formula in a Cell lets says it is ((C2 + B1) * A1). When I drag that cell to another all the variables are updated to ((C3 + B2) * A2). I want the first to update but I want A1 to stay A1. In this case A1 represents an interest rate that I want to vary at will.
